Spring is finally here and the sunshine has been beaming today!

The garden is waking up from its winter sleep and flowers are starting to appear all over the place.

The camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias are all adding pops of glorious colour to the garden as the weather (hopefully) continues to warm up. There are still many azaleas not yet flowering but some are now showing off their blooms.

The magnolias are now looking beautiful with their elegant pinky, purple blossoms.

There are a couple of Japanese maples now starting to leaf up but most are just at the budding stage so it will be a while before the garden is filled with brightly coloured leaves I suspect.

We have had so much rain lately that all our dry riverbeds are running with water – but hopefully we will see some drier and sunny days more often as we progress into March.

Today I took a stroll around the garden to capture some photos of the plants and flowers and I was lucky enough to have the sunshine for my visit.
