September has arrived and suddenly the summer heat has too! Its been a very wet August this year with so much rain and on and off showers so better late than never with this gorgeous sunshine!
This morning I grabbed my camera and took full advantage of the sunlight to capture a few shots of the garden and the stunning Koi carp.
The garden felt so peaceful and serene as I wondered the pathways and watching the Koi having their morning food was captivating.
We recently had a donation of beautiful Koi to the pond and they have settled in beautifully. The pond now looks very busy at feeding time!
The Japanese maples were glowing today as the sunlight blasted through the leaves and I caught glimpses of oranges, reds and lots of greens through the canopy.
September is usually the first month of autumn but with this sudden heatwave I suspect the plants may be a bit confused about which season they are in so we will be waiting to see what happens this year.
