What a month this has been! We have been closed to the public from the 1st November, but we have been working hard at the garden doing refurbishments and picking up the thousands of leaves that have been falling.

We still have many Japanese Maples clinging to their foliage despite the winds and rain we have experienced this month, but we are now seeing many bare branches, which is showing off some of the beautiful architecture that has been hidden until now.

Today i managed to waddle, (due to my huge pregnant belly), in to the garden to take some photographs as we approach the end of November. The leaves that are still up on the branches are such vivid colours and there are collections of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows wherever you look. As i wondered around today the chill in the air made the experience bright and refreshing and soon after i arrived the was a hail shower!

I hope you enjoy looking at the photos i shot today – pictured below – And we look forward to seeing you all next year when we reopen from the 1st March 2018!
