We have extended our deadline for final orders to December 10th.
Christmas is just around the corner and as we come out of Lockdown 2.0 we are busy here at the Japanese Garden sending out mail order deliveries and getting on with our refurbishments.
Many of our popular items are quickly going out of stock so if you know what you are looking for please order soon to avoid disappointment.
The leaves have been falling rapidly and the garden now entering its winter appearance with the architecture of branches and viewing points being revealed. There are still some deciduous trees holding on to some of their leaves and there are still some beautiful colours to be found in the garden.
Its been a couple of weeks since i’ve had the chance to visit the garden and today I enjoyed my walk around in the cool air. I spotted several acers still showing off some amazing vivid colours and I took my macro lens with me today so I captured some amazing close-ups of buds, leaves and even a mushroom growing in the moss garden.
The wooden steps by the Zen garden are having a thorough re-build as the roots from a couple of huge sycamore trees have pushed them in to a very wonky angle, so the time has come to straighten them out a bit 9although the wonky steps did look fantastic, they really aren’t practical to walk on).
With work still ongoing in the garden and the shop being painted we have not yet set a date for re-opening. Please keep an eye on our Blog and social media for updates.
