July is a month that usually boasts some of the warmest weather of the year and this July has certainly given us some beautifully warm temperatures!

The garden has been basking in sunshine for most of the month so far and i think this has encouraged huge amounts of growth on all the trees and plants!

The lack of rain has meant we have been watering the moss garden and a few other areas of the garden that are very shallow rooted, but luckily the garden is so established now that it can handle the hot, dry weather remarkably well.

The Bonsai trees have been thriving too; and these have been watered on an almost daily basis due to the heat.

The Summer has seen the Koi carp swimming quickly around the pond in the warm water and we have had hundreds of tadpoles appear in the pond too! Although these have now vanished as i suspect they have now got their little froggy legs! We have also had little Wren birds nesting in 2 of the lanterns by the Zen garden! I love how much wildlife is in the garden.

Hope you enjoy viewing the photos of the garden shot this week –
