February is usually a time of year when we are busy readying the garden and nursery for re-opening at our usual time (the beginning of March). This year we are very busy with maintenance, but sadly not preparing to re-open to the public for March due to the current Lockdown 😔.
Tonight the wonderful news that the end of lockdown may be in sight has been a much needed emotional lift today. Although not confirmed, it sounds like April 12th will be a date we will be hoping to reopen 🤞 – please watch this space!
Lockdown 3.0 continues on for now, however no-one seems to have told the garden and its now beginning to flourish in to Spring-time! 😂

Camellias are blooming their hearts out with bees buzzing around the stamen covered in pollen. Colours are now popping with so many flowers in bloom in the garden and the Camellias are stealing the show.
Rhododendrons are displaying their huge, impressive flower buds that are soon to be opening up as the weather warms up.
Crocuses are up and punctuating the greens and browns of the garden with their vivid purple tones and their elegant petals.
Everything is budding and there is a feeling of hope and energy in the garden that Spring always generates. I love this time of year as the garden awakens from the winter slumber and particularly this year after the restrictions and isolation the garden has been a haven for me to visit today.
I cannot wait to be able to share the space with everyone again once we can re-open safely and share the much needed healing power that the garden has.
We look forward to seeing you very soon, stay safe everyone!
