Eight New Koi Carp Arrive

Exciting day here at the Japanese Garden – 8 beautiful new Koi carp arrived to be released in to their new home.

Its always wonderful to see new fish join our pond and I was lucky enough to see them go in today and capture a few photographs.

It was quite a sight as the fish were acclimatised to the water and then the bags were fully opened and they swam out. Once they were all in the pond they joined up with our original fish and they all swam around the pond together – it was like the newbies were being given a guided tour around their new home.
