Spring

The garden awakens!

Japanese Maples unfurl their delicate leaves in brightest reds & greens. Cherry blossom makes its stunning and somewhat fleeting appearance. Camellias and Azaleas begin to open their brightly coloured flowers and pickle the dark green foliage with pinks, whites and reds. Streams gurgle & birdsong fills the air. Temperatures rise throughout the spring bringing a mixture of sunshine and rain, which the garden gratefully receives.

This season has a feeling of anticipation and excitement as the plants and trees begin budding and unfurling for the warmer months. Buds swell and flowers and foliage begin opening up to reveal the magic of nature in fantastic colours and shapes. It is a time of awakening.
